Welcome to my stamps-homepage
On these pages you can read about my collecting interests, you can find my wants-list and pages with
stamps for sale (British, foreign and Disney).
If you are interested in British stamps, I have made some online catalogues telling you how much your British stamps are worth.
A normal catalogue only gives 1 price for a used stamp and the prices are not what those stamps are actually being sold for. I have made a
catalogue showing actual prices for each classic stamp in 6 different used qualities.
About me and my collection:
I have been collecting stamps for many many years. The last 20 years my main interest has been
British stamps and today I am almost only interested in stamps from Great Britain.
I have sold and bought thousands of stamps and studied hundreds of auction catalogues and magazines.
Today I know quite a lot - especially about British stamps of course, but I have still much more to learn.
As you can see on my want-list pages, I am interested in anything beyond the normal. I started collecting all
normal British stamps (those in an ordinary catalogue). Suddenly (actually it took some years) I had them
all except for 15-20 of the rarest stamps and I can't afford stamps costing from $1,000 and up to
$20,000 each. That is why I am now collecting anything beyond the normal. This is very very interesting
to me and it is much more fun than saving up for a £5 Orange on blued paper ($5,000). But of course I would dearly like
to have such an item!!!
Stamp collecting is an interesting, quiet and peaceful hobby. You spend many hours alone and that is why
I always recommend others, to collect stamps the way they find interesting themselves. Not the way others tell
them to do, or the way your collection has to be build up, if it should compete in an international stamp exhibition.
It is your own collection so include what you find interesting yourself. In my collection some of the rarest stamps has defects.
There are no stamps with first day cancels. There are faded stamps, imperf. stamps, stamps with flaws, covers damaged
by the post-office, stamps used on receipts etc. etc. There is almost anything and nothing is complete and will ever be so.
Some would call this a total mess and not worth showing at an exhibition. Actually it is true, but this is my collection.
